Troubleshooting

Fix typical issues locally first. If it still does not add up: a short video, the headset number, and whether Wi-Fi is connected, to service@firefightervr.de.

Problem	Possible fix
Image is blurry	Nudge the headset up or down, check the strap, clean lenses dry.
Double vision, eye strain	Check fit, change IPD only if needed, take a break.
Image frozen	Hold the power button for at least 10 seconds (restart).
Headset will not start	Charge, check the cable, hold the power button longer.
Tracking jumps	Add light, avoid mirrors, keep front cameras clear, restart in an open spot.
Virtual floor height is wrong	Restart in an open spot; the cameras must see the floor.
Controller not recognised	Switch on, check battery, restart, pair if needed (Home + trigger, LED red/blue).
Controller LED blinks red	Replace the 1.5 V AA battery, check polarity.
HDMI with no picture	Both sticks powered, correct HDMI input, power bank on the transmitter, headset active.
Browser stream missing	Headset and laptop on the same Wi-Fi, start screencast, check the address.
Updates do not arrive	Wi-Fi, leave it online for a few minutes, restart the app later.
Google Maps will not load	Check the internet. Local trainings run offline; maps need a connection.
Battery below 30–35 %	Charge early. A low charge can trigger power-saving mode and glitches.
Discomfort	Pause immediately, headset off, sit down; later teleport or sit.
Nozzle hangs at an angle	Open it, turn it toward the headset, make the controllers visible.
No click/teleport on the nozzle	Top controller button with the heel of the hand or the thumb.
Extinguisher sprays constantly or not at all	Check the button adapter and lever travel. The lever must not hold the controller down. Adjust start/max values in the menu.
Extinguisher menu missing	In the module press B, then confirm extinguisher settings with the trigger.
Fire sits awkwardly	After selecting it, move or rotate with the joysticks. Start where people will stand later.
